Pin Up Your Doolde Exhibition and Pop Up Bar

Under the watchful eye of the Pin Up Your Doodle Curator, Melissa Loughnan of Utopian Slumps, we’re now putting on an extraordin...ary exhibition of the work of everyone's fantastic doodles in the basement of Donkey Wheel House.

Join us from 18 – 21 November to view the doodles and while you’re at it, sample some tasty beer and wine from the developing world. Then stay for a boogie!

Made from 100% recycled/found/stolen materials (thanks to the guys at Foolscap Studio, Melany Masel and Kathrin Wheib) the Shebeen Pop-Up Bar will be kicking every day/night of the exhibition until 1am with entertainment from:

> Super Wild Horses DJs

> Suitcase Royale
> Michael Kucyk
> Poet Laureate Telia Neville
> Anna Pocket Rocket
> The Electric Ponies

… and many more TBA. (Full line up and performance times will be announced next week.)

Sound good? See you there. And bring your friends! All profits from doodle and drink sales fund the permanent Shebeen venue in Melbourne, opening early next year.

PS. After the exhibition, selected doodles from artists, celebrities and other creatives will be auctioned alongside hand-painted Zaishus on Thursday 24 November at The Australian Centre for Contemporary Art (ACCA). Artists include Amber Wallis (winner of the 2008 Brett Whiteley Travelling Scholarship), Beci Orpin, Tai Snaith, Jake Walker (winner of the 2010 inaugural Arkeley Award), Esther Erlich (winner of 1998 Doug Moran National Portrait Prize and the 2000 Archibald People’s Choice Award) and Mark Rodda, musicians such as Paris Wells and Kellie Sutherland (of Architecture in Helsinki), and television and radio personalities including Sam Simmons, Rosie Beaton and Dom Alessio, as well as members of the Australian Ballet. All proceeds also go to Shebeen and these works will be at the exhibition for viewing. For registration and tickets go to www.pinupyourdoodle.com
